Take strong vineyards. Make wine traditionally. Keep the family in, and the large corporation out, of the operation. Stone's Throw wines are made from California vineyards in a straightforward style to preseve the bright fresh fruit inherent in the grapes. Our aim is for wines that will be just as good in the second glass as the first, and a fitting compliment to the food on the table.

Not so long ago, wine growing families lived on the land that was their livelihood and their wine cellar was just a stone's throw from the vineyard. Their wines bore the indelible stamp of the soil and climate in which they were grown. Stone's Throw is an expression of our value for hands-on farming and wines that taste like they came from a specific place.
